Mr. Khatir has long been recognized as one of the country’s most active promoters of sports, both at home and on the international stage.

Over the years, Mr. Khatir has held several important leadership roles in Afghan cricket. He previously served as an Advisor to the Afghanistan Cricket Board, contributing to policy development and governance at the highest level of the sport. He was also the Team Director of the Kabul Eagles Cricket Team in the prestigious Shpageeza T20 League, where he played a vital role in enhancing the team’s professional structure and performance. Furthermore, he served as the Strategic Advisor for the Kabul Premier League, helping to develop and expand this important domestic cricket platform. In addition, Mr. Khatir held the title of Brand Ambassador for Ayobi Sports Complex, one of the leading sports facilities in Afghanistan, highlighting his active involvement in promoting sports infrastructure.

His international impact includes serving as the CEO of the Premium Afghans franchise in the American Premiere League (APL), where he helped bring Afghan cricket talent to a global audience. His passion and leadership have earned him nationwide recognition:
In 2016, Mr. Khatir was voted (by fans) Best Sports Enthusiast of the Year in a public campaign organized by the Afghanistan Sports Journalists’ National Federation. This month-long voting competition featured several national figures and well-known sports promoters, and Mr. Khatir’s win confirmed his status as one of Afghanistan’s most dedicated and admired sports advocates.

Beyond sports, Mr. Khatir has made significant contributions to education and government service. From 2013 to 2015, he was the General Director of Shaheen Technical and Vocational Institute in Kabul, leading two active branches that provided technical and professional training to hundreds of students in various disciplines.

One of the key milestone in his career came from 2015 to 2018 as well, when he served as a Specialist of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Office of the President of Afghanistan.
